The 32nd Artists' Open House Festival takes place in Brighton and Hove during the festival weekends in May 2013 (Sat/Sun 4/5, 11/12, 18/19, 25/26).
Many of the Hove Arts houses are also open on Bank Holiday Mondays, May 6th and 27th.
This year there are 14 venues on the Hove Arts Open House trail, featuring the works of over 100 hundred local artists.
Hove Arts is a group of artists formed fourteen years ago to participate in the Brighton and Hove Festival Umbrella programme. We came together to link our venues - open houses, studios and workshops - to form an arts group. The idea was to recognise and develop the art activities in Hove, which are ever expanding each year.

Since that time we have grown considerably. The venues change each year with some houses and studios being open year after year. This year we have 14 venues on board showing the work of over 100 individual artists. Our work includes painting, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, prints, drawing, mixed media, photography, furniture, glass and textiles, and much more.

Some of the Brighton Festival events have led to major commissions, museum, corporate, international and national exhibitions, as well as local publicity for the artists involved. Our thanks goes out to our loyal sponsors who have really helped this happen.

Our future plans are to operate more within the Artists' Open Houses Group and also involve ourselves in other annual events.
We hope you will support the growth and profile of the artists in our community by visiting the open houses and thereby help to develop Hove as a centre for art and culture.
