I used to teach and research medieval French texts and maps. More recently I’ve been showing and selling my art all over the UK: lots of solo exhibitions, workshops, projects and commissions.

Since moving from the Midlands in 2009 I’ve joined Hove Arts, had an exhibition at Pelham House in Lewes, designed a medieval physic garden and run a session for the Brighton Science Festival involving children, vegetables and creativity! What next?

Current work incorporates hand-cast paper and reclaimed elements and sometimes includes text.
I’m fascinated by pattern on every scale, natural and man-made. I constantly experiment with paints, inks, dyes, pigments and gold or silver leaf to build up intense, glowing colours.
