Antony Nhamoinesu Sarireni
Antony Sarireni – Born 1961 into a family in Zimbabwe,
who carved mainly in wood, especially his father. Having
taught all subjects in primary schools for more than 10 years,
Antony went on to join the Tengenenge Art Community,
where he won an award of merit in 1995, gaining International
recognition.
Antony’s work is mainly exhibited in museums, art galleries
and gardens
in Germany, USA, Netherlands and the UK.
Permanent collections are in the Africa Museum, Netherlands,
Christophori Ltd, Amsterdam – Zimbabwe National Gallery,
Dr. Elisabeth Jordan Gardens, U.K,
Terra Décor, UK and Stables Studio, UK.
Antony runs successful workshops in stone carving for Universities,
Schools, children with special needs and weekend retreats.
The spirit of the stone and its natural element is the creation
of Antony’s work of art.
He sculpts without sketches and each piece of work is an exploration
into the stone.
