‘Although
I live now in a city my work has always been concerned with
landscape and the processes therein.
I like to bring back an impression of the landscape with me
when walking through it.
Sometimes I will sketch in the landscape but more often
then not I will draft the images from memory back in the studio.
My work is heavily informed by the rugged coastline
and landscape in the west of Ireland where I am from.
Upon moving to Brighton I have become again interested in
the coast
and the processes that work upon it.’
