| The latest Open House to join the Hove Arts trail is located in a Victorian villa at 24 Holland Road (next to Audrey’s chocolate shop). Twenty-three artists are exhibiting in 12 rooms, plus there is a café and children’s room as well as an outside courtyard. The art work on show is both varied and of a high standard. |

| Art At Sprachcaffe includes shona stone carvings by a sculptor based in Brighton and Africa; photographic images (including postcards) of Brighton, Sussex and faraway places; textile paintings using a variety of techniques; a range of jewellery from big and bold to precious and unusual; pottery by the late but well-loved Martin Hildyard, an Open House veteran; fashion accessories including beautiful hats; paintings in acrylics and oils including landscapes, portraits, pop art, abstracts and still lives; prints and lino cuts featuring images of the female form, animals and nature. |
